- 3 cups chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- Whole Can of Condensed Milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- Chocolate

Place parchment paper on cookie sheet then add pecans and place in a 350* til light brown and fragrant. Push together to create a solid sheet. In a medium sauce pan, bring to a boil the butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Bring to 235-240 on candy thermometer or hard ball. I personally prefer the chewier carmal so I go closer to 240*. Add Whole can of condensed milk and vanilla. I measure my vanilla with my heart. Once down pour or spoon over pecans.
While the carmel is being made, you can either start the chocolate melting on a double boiler on the stove or wait and microwave the chocolate. Spoon and smooth the chocolate over the carmel.
Wait til its set and cut and serve.

These turtles are a great treat or to add several together for a gift.
