We love our books and love sharing suggestions with you. Even though the kids are getting older, we still love to pull out some of our favorites to read around the holidays and seasons. It’s definitely nostalgic for the older adults and it can give the kids some new favorites as well. Reading has so many benefits, not only to children but for adults as well. It makes you stop and just enjoy some time with your kids and forget about the to do list and the mountain of other things that need to be done.

Picture Books for Halloween

This not new but still a favorite among kids is Pete the Cat Falling for Autumn, talks about corn mazes, hay rides, and apple picking and all the joys of fall. Sweet and Spooky Halloween is another favorite as the princess dress up and explore Halloween. Not technically Halloween but it’s a monster book so I’m including because it’s just so darn cute and funny, The Monster at the End of This Book.
A classic book based off the Peanuts gang is It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. And, would this even be my place to share with you if I didn’t share a train book?! Thomas and the Runaway Pumpkins is based on the fall pumpkin crop missing from Island of Sodor. Snowman at Halloween is about an early snowfall.
